Music Changing Lives anticipates servicing more than 20,000 students per day just in the Inland Empire's school districts during September 08 promoting our stay in school tour "The Ignorance Stops Here". Music Changing Lives estimates having to employ more than 1200 people and mobilize more than 1500 volunteers each year. Music Changing Lives will be the largest provider of academically-oriented after school programs in the Inland Empire and the fastest growing non?profit in the U.S. Music Changing Lives has grown twenty-fold over the last four years due to the demand for its results-driven model.
Case for Funding
Music Changing Lives anticipates with proper funding being able to expand its after-school program "The Ignorance Stops Here" to more than 200 schools in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties as well. Music Changing Lives needs to raise a total of at least 2.5 million along with additional matching grants of 2.5 million from other sources - that's the equivalent of $25,000 per program for a total of 200 High School each year.
Vision
Music Changing Lives is a unique organization that blends business professionals and educators into a highly focused organization that will provide academic support to students with the goal of helping to close the student achievement gap. Music Changing Lives plans to extend its program model to provide one-on-one tutoring as well as other academic supports in addition to its core program. Music Changing Lives has created a scalable model with significant efficiencies.
